I'll tell you a story then...

Once upon a time. There was a very smart and clever man named Schrödinger. And he was so clever and so smart, that he wondered: 'What happens when we can't see?'

So he put a cat in a box. And there was a vial of poison in the box that would be released at a random time. But the only way you could know for sure whether the cat was alive or dead would be to open the box.

So Schrödinger thought that the cat had to be alive and dead while the box was still closed, do you see?
