Hi Luceti. Another newcomer here.
[For once in a great while Luceti - a New Feather understands the concept of the Journals and doesn't spend their first post making a great fuss over how to work it. Nope! James Moriarty - or as he will be going by until further notice - James Milverton knows exactly what to do.
He has a soft voice, pleasant to listen to with a bit of an Irish lilt to it.
He starts off by just smiling into the camera and waving. Right off the bat, James looks as if he's had a hell of a first day. He's got stitches on his head, right around the hairline; a bruise on his cheek that's now a lovely mishmash of purple and red; a split lip on the right side and a ring of dark bruises around his neck. James doesn't look like he'd make for a very good fighter so any assumptions that this is the result of him being beaten up won't insult him in the least. Because that's what has happened.
At least he's out of his New Feather garb! He's wearing things he just picked up at the shop, none of it really looks right on him. But they're clothes - he's not complaining.
On the outside at least.]
I was just looking through the Guide last night - really helpful stuff, whoever made this thing I'm really quite grateful for that so...thanks. But yes, I was looking through it and I wanted to ask a little further about the things you were wearing popping up in the shop.
Does that include jewelry? Things that aren't really yours but...what you were wearing at the time?
Just wondering.
[He looks a bit.... hesitant to bring this next subject up. But he's forcing himself to be brave about it. (Ain't it sad folks?) He takes a gulp, steadies himself and makes himself say it.]
I-If you were wondering about the...bruises and stuff auhm -- that was from the guy I woke up with. Tall, dark hair, English, blue eyes - if that helps. If that description rings any bells....who is he? I never caught a name, he was too busy -- [He gestures to the ring of bruises around his neck. They look like fingers.]
Anyway. He has a doctor friend: short, light hair, English as well. Actually saved my life last night, along with the help of Ms. LeBlanc.
If you're listening by the way - thank you, really. The stitches are holding nicely -- I think.
The reason I'm bringing this up is to just ask if anyone knows where they're living around here? I want to try and avoid them as much as possible. Luceti isn't really big enough to do that but I think if I can just...not go some places, I'll be alright.
Well that concludes this first post! Yaaaaay. [He does a mock celebration dance, wiggling where he's seated and chuckles afterwards. Embarrassed by himself, poor dear.]
Thanks for listening.

Date: 2012-03-20 05:35 pm (UTC)[Which is really wonderful for James, because he certainly looks the part of weakness.
Then he remembers that normal people would protest to being called weak.]
I can take care of myself though...

A knife?
Or shall you be telling me the other person looks so much worse?

I had the 'knife'. Used a piece of glass.

I hope it was at least a big piece of glass.

Date: 2012-03-21 08:09 am (UTC)Then you should have found a bigger one. Preferably on the end of a bat, club or some sort of implement to keep this attacker of yours at bay. It's terribly boring when all you do is get beaten against a table and rolled off to the clinic without at least an interesting fight.

Trust me, it was plenty entertaining.

Date: 2012-03-21 08:19 am (UTC)Well..... I would think being inside a recovery room would give one many options, but what would I know, hm?
It's too bad I wasn't there to watch. I do so love watching handsome men have a deadly row.
